Land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, where an Onboard Safaris representative meets you and transfers you to your hotel to settle in before the safari begins.

Nairobi → Lake Nakuru National Park

Into The Great Rift Valley

Depart after breakfast for Lake Nakuru National Park in the Great Rift Valley, arriving in time for lunch. The afternoon game drive covers lion, leopard, buffalo, Rothschild's giraffe and eland, alongside more than 400 recorded bird species in and around the lake, including flamingo, pelican and birds of prey.

Nakuru → Maasai Mara National Reserve

Arriving In The Mara

Depart after breakfast for the Maasai Mara National Reserve, famous for the wildebeest and zebra migration between June and October, culminating in dramatic crossings of the crocodile-infested Mara River. The Mara is also home to the Big Five — lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo — along with marabou stork, vulture, eagle and ostrich. Arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive.

Maasai Mara National Reserve

A Full Day In The Mara

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives across the Mara, viewing wildlife and birdlife in their natural habitat. An optional visit to a Maasai cultural village is available for guests who want to round out the day.

Departure

Depart at 7:30am for Nairobi, with lunch as a personal arrangement along the way. Transfer directly to the airport for your outbound flight.
